just bought some progresive springs to fit to my gp , and when stripping the old ones i have noticed that
at the top of the spring which locates into the top hat , i have a metal stepped cone , my question is
arnt the metal cones used on lis not gps , also with the spring i was supplied with a double thick nylon bush ,
does this bush replace the one still in the forks , hope this all makes sence, Steve

I have always thought that they were interchangeable. Almost all alterations to the GP were a matter of cost-savings, rather than a performance improvement. Nylon bushes are cheaper than metal ones.
