Hi all,

Anyone know of an outlet for reasonably priced steel Nannucci/Rally type legshield toolboxes? I've seen the commonly available repro type but can't understand why they have pressed them to have an indented/recessed toolbox door lip (so that the door sits flush, rather than proud).

I'm not interested in fibreglass, nor something that goes for crazy prices (a repro should cost the same regardless of whether it is pressed to the right shape or the wrong shape!), nor a PX style (which I happen to think look excellent on non-resto GPs). This isn't a case of being a toolbox snob , rather, I'm simply after a style of toolbox that I think best suits a TVIII.

If anyone happens to know where I might get one, or have one that they want to get rid of, please let me know? I'm hoping to make it to Peanut Duck so will have a look around then/there. It may even be that I end up buying a Rally toolbox and carrying out the trimming/rewelding that I've done previously, however, it would be nice to think that there might be a decent repro available that saved me a bit of time/effort.

A few years ago I got my steel legsheild toolbox (with the toolbox lid raised as you described) from ScootRS, Vietnam. Took a little bit of felting to fit, but looks good, very Nannucci-esque. I've not looked to see if they are still doing them.

Buzzsolomoto does one also, although not with the raised door, but looks ok all the same.

I got this one off Dez last year, he had a few , but not sure if he's doing them anymore ?

I bought a ScootRs one recently from someone on here I think which has a recessed door. Excellent quality and the fit looks to be at least as good as the GRP one on my Jet or the one on my son's PX.

FYI... I got one off Dez, thanks, and now need to see if I can make it fit

didn't want to disturb you cause it was a fibreglass one.

I got one for my series 2 from Taffspeed at the Brid rally and it fitted without any fettling, I could not believe it. The legshields must be bent
