Will a "weak" Pacemaker gearbox be ok with a stage 4 175 top end or am I asking for trouble later?

It's funny but despite.this apparent weakness, I have never.heard of or met anybody who actually ever.had a problem with this gearbox. ( Cue the replies !)

I ran mine fitted with a 16T front sprocket without a hiccup on a stage 4 tuned 175 for 10 years; still got it in the garage in perfect condition after 50 years. Don't.know of anybody who broke one in my younger days either. Now running different engine.

The weakening in the box is supposed to be the third gear I use a SX 200 third gear cog run both engines gp200 and tuned TV175 ser 2 with out any problems for 7years

I ran a pacemaker gearbox, not sure if it was one of the so called weak ones, for many years in my combo with an SX200 engine without any problems and third gear had some stress at times.

I,ve run one in a twe 175 kit with 22mm jetex and af clubman, its been fine.
run one in a ts1 200 17bhp 15 torques lost 7 teeth off the third gear, leading to very public rebuild at the belguim euro.
And a picture in Scootering.

How much it at all does it effect third gear ratio.
