Speedo drive thread size?
Posted: Sun Jan 11, 2015 6:20 pmCan anyone confirm the thread size of the speedo drive at the front hub end on a drum brake Italian GP? My crude measurement suggests it is M12 x 1.00. Is that correct?

Posted: Sun Jan 11, 2015 10:52 pmim sure it`s M14 x 1.5 pitch. i have a tap in my tool box that i bought to clean out the threads after i had my hub powder coated.i will check when its light.

I'm looking for the thread size on the bush that the speedo connects to rather than the back plate itself. I have some burring on this and want to run a die nut over it to clean it up.

Posted: Mon Jan 26, 2015 11:59 pmJust in case it helps anyone else, it is indeed M12 x 1.00mm. A die nut of that size has cleaned it up nicely.
