Hi forumgoers,

could I pick your brains please ?

A 'friend' of mine (apparently) has let me down regards fitting my new fork links into my new forks.

If there are any workshops or members who want the cash to do the do job for me would you make yourselves known please.

I am in Wolverhampton WV6 so any where in the West Midlands would be a bonus

Many TIA

It's actually a straightforward job Gino, you should give it a go yourself.

Morning forum people, sorry about the slow response I have been offline for a week or so. Thanks for the replies, if I am honest I would most likely tackle the job myself, my only stumbling block is that I don't have access to a vice, believe I have tried the job without a vice, and its a non starter haha

I don't have a vice either, I just use a cheap B&Q type workmate bench, it's not ideal but will hold the forks firm enough to get the job done. You will need a fork spring compressor though ;)

I've managed to remove and fit springs while the forks were in the scooter using a spring compressor.

Ahhhh a black & decker workmate ... simple, why didn't I think of that, and I'm meant to be an engineer haha

Luckily I have all of the tools, I invested in them when I brought the scoot :)

Cheers guys
