Clutch rub

Hi Guys,

Having recently stripped my gearbox (li150) I took the opportunity to replace the clutch plates at the same time. I now find the the clutch inner bell is rubbing on the inside of the chaincase, causing a bit of clutch slip. Nothing is different other than the new clutch plates. Any ideas why this would happen? Or a solution? Just a thicker chaincase gasket?
Many thanks, Alex.

Struggling to picture how this could happen and cause clutch slip. Where exactly is it rubbing?

Hi Bob,

The rubbing is on the raised part of the inner case where the clutch shaft sits. It looks like the outer part of the clutch bell (over where the springs sit) is grinding here. No idea why it should have suddenly happened. Cheers. Alex

It should rub on the kickstart shaft before it gets to the rib on the casing.
