Sx200 tool box

Hi, I recently restored a 66 sx200, I like the look of the leg shield tool box but wondered if mine should have one fitted, don't want to buy one if it isn't right

No, they're not original. They're a vespa thing which are really useful so a lot of folk fitted them.

If it makes you feel any better, I think lalambrettas look better the way nature intended.

i suppose it depends on wether you intend carrying a lot of tools and/or spares as you won't get much in the original one.
another thing is that when riding two up a lot that a leggie box does cut down on leg room.
of course when full up it helps keep the front end down :)

They may not have been fitted to standard SX's but the twin cylinder prototype had a very nice slimline legshield toolbox.

I believe Rimini are planning to put these into production.
