Looking for a way to wire up an ignition switch controlled live on scooter with DC electrics (BGM stator) for a SIP speedo. I can do it but with lights on as well.

This is something I just did in another thread, but I fitted a battery too.
I used a ScootRS ignition switch, which has secondary contacts for DC accessories. I switched a relay with the ignition switch.
Somebody else mentioned there is another switch with DC switching options available from Beedspeed, but I've not looked into that.

Here's the thread with the scootrs switch diagram for your info.
The way I wired it, first position energises relay and switches all power to bike including back light and side light.
Second position switches the main lights on via the handlebar selection switch.
You could wire it so all the lights come on from the second position, but I like the idea of having running lights.
Hope this helps.

I'm not aware of anybody doing the switches over here.
Just looked at Beedspeed, have a look at this to see if it's going to suit your requirements.........
