Framebreather brake light switch - what's this all about?

So I recently got a framebreather and I'm going through a few things. After unseizing the rear brake I noticed there wasn't a brake light switch on the underside of the legshields for the brake light to operate. Instead there is an additional cable attached to the pedal that extends back to the rear footboard strut and is connected to firstly an adjuster, a spring and then a brake light switch.
Is this usual for a framebreather? And where can I get a new one because mine ain't working?
Thanks
Warren

that's a well known adaption by rodger the bodger....
my framebreather came with a similar "adaption"
truth is, the original official set up involved a switch bolted to the brake pedal, rather than the frame crossmember that was fitted to later series 1's and series 2's on....
you can, obviously, fit this.... if you can find one... which is why there aren't many around and the need for a bodge...
or, I would guess you could fit a later pedal and bolt the switch in the usual place

You could also fit one of these in the front brake cable:
https://www.beedspeed.com/vespa-brake-l ... iemsko5uu5MOT (if it needs one) requires a stop light on one control, but never harms to have 2 brake light switches.

Thanks for the input, seems Roger the Bodger has been busy. I'm gonna look for a similar switch and see how it goes. All the other lights work fine which is a bonus.
