Just received a rubber mount for a lucas spot light,this is to go on a li series 2,my question is are there two types of mounts s2 & s3.as it looks like I will have to cut a lot off to make it fit my leg shields,is this the normal thing to do,please help.

Unfortunately there is only one type available and you will need to cut them for an S2

Its a right pig of a job and the best advice I can give is for you to make a template with a cardboard tube and go from there.

60 grit flap wheel in an angle grinder, you will come out like a black man. Offer it up turning it round to get the face as vertical as possible . Trim and try. It will squash up when you use the bolt through. I dished out the face a tad as well.
