Been out in the garage tinkering,(like you do) and its come to my attention that when I look at the back of my bike the wheel/engine isn't in line with the frame.On closer inspection I found that the head cowling is considerably closer to the right hand side than the left- looks to me like the whole lump is at an angle! silent block on the r/h side doesn't look right- ie not level and the holes aren't as they should be, looks almost like its sort of given up.
The bike rides ok, no vibration issues etc. Any one have any idea where I should be looking to "square" the engine up? silent blocks ? cones? both?

Sounds like the engine mounting block has gone , common for the kickstart one to go. You need to replace them.

Cones don't tend to be a problem unless you've got offset ones that have slipped.

Your Jet should originally have had the short Li style mounts which are better for handling but transmit more vibration. I'm guessing when you mentioned holes you already have longer mounts? This might depend on the state of tune of your engine and the balance of your crank. Most folks fit the longer ones now unless going concourse. They flex a bit more but transmit less vibration, though there's varying opinions on that.

BGM / Scootopia are both supposed to be good. Genuine SIL can also be OK trouble is finding genuine - SR a good bet here, there's plenty faked SIL a stuff out there.

I've just fitted the BGM ones to my Jet engine, ordered direct from Scooter Center in Germany. With some help from Scotty and his collection of tools, I must add!
I was having some serious vibration issues last year and the old mounts were about shot. I also fitted offset cones as the reed valve body was fouling the frame too. All seems well now.

Good skills Nelly, that's the route i'll be going down..
