I've never changed an engine shock absorber shaft,is it an easy job?
Do I need any special tools?

I'd guess its lots of heat and a hydraulic press to remove. Why do you want to change, stripped threads?

Thanks,
One has came loose,I just need to re-fit it,I'm thinking of using heat and applying gently some pressure with a small vice.
The other case has a longer Spanish shaft that I want to replace with a shorter Italian.
