rust in my tank...

Got a new long range tank , had it carbon dipped (top job) but when I received it I noticed that I had a little rust build up. Chucked some gravel in it, wrapped it in a duvet and threw it into the tumble drier for two hours ( for the record, a diablo tank wrapped in a 5 tog single duvet will fit into an average sized tumble drier! :P )- swilled it through with fairy liquid and hot water.
99% sorted, I just have a very light "speckling" left. Ran some petrol through it and all seems ok.
Trouble is its bugging me- do I
a) leave it and see how it goes.
b) seal the tank with petseal or an equivalent.
c) do the electrolosis thingy with the bolt as a sacrificial anode.

Your thoughts are very much appreciated..

fit it m8, then add an inline petrol filter with a magnet inside
like this - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Universal-Mot ... 4ae1b4e8fc

I've put 3 betting shop magnets to the underside of my Diablo tank, just next to the petrol tap.
My float bowl has always been spotless when checking it sinse . I like to think its the magnets doing their job!
Oh, and I've done around 8000 miles with them .

POR 15 is excellent tank sealer I have used it twice and recommend it.

Just as a side note, Fairy liquid contains salt so probably not the best cleaning fluid to get rid of rust

PQR 15 sorted my tank when I was struggling with the dreaded 'rust' - having used Phosphoric acid unsuccessfully several times.......................can't wait to start re-assembling....................

Once you got rid of all the loose surface rust your petrol and oil does a pretty good job of keeping it at bay.
