GP 200 suspension

Hi, just recently bought my first GP, do they all ride like they are on solid tyres with no suspension at all? My Li and SX are a much better ride, don't feel every bump and hole in the road. Would a fork refurb kit help or do I need different front dampers, any ideas would help as it is getting to the stage where I find it impossible to ride any distance as it plays my back up!

Check tyre pressures first, but it may have had uprated fork springs fitted and a firmer rear shock?

Have set tyre pressures according to Stickys manual(only about a pound out) but still the same, will take a look at fork springs and try another rear shock.
Thanks

Hi
Anybody know if the bolts through the front fork pivot arms come in different lengths? I have found that mine when tightened actually lock the arms so they can not move up and down hence the solid suspension!!
Thanks

That should not happen. You need to strip the fork links out and see what is going on.

+1 on the spacers/shims
The boots may be bowed in slightly caused by someone trying to hammer old links out
Ps the gp does handle very different to a series 3 I would say
