Sip speedo

Just had the latest sip speedo fitted to my s2 li mugello,new Italian cable bought to fit the speedo as I was told I would need this,my question is why doesn't the cable fit the speedo threads,plumbers tape used and all is well and speedo is working well,has anyone had to do the same if so why,

I had a similar problem but I put it down to poorly made Italian thread on an Indian cable, like you bit of plumbers tape fixed it.

i had the same , tried 3 cables the 3rd one worked ,

The speedo cables supplied by AF Rayspeed fit well, just fitted one to mine. Tried a scootrs one but the inner was a little shorter going into the speedo, so potentially could have come out and stopped the speedo from working. Scootrs cable thread fitted ok though.
