I have a new BGM V3 DC stator only I now want to use on a standard AC system, I have been given differing opinions what to do with the extra yellow and black wires, what is the correct way to deal with the extra wires, where do they connect to, I assume the black is to earth

Don't know what the black is for but I'd say one of the yellows should go to earth and the other to the regulator.
If you can, check that the yellows are continuous, they should be connected to each end of the four coils and should not have continuity with the stator base.

Is it this one?
http://www.lambrettaspares.com/spares/b ... m0408.htmlHas an extra black, which goes down to earth.
For AC just earth one of the yellows to the same point as the black, take the other yellow to the AC regulator. Won't matter which yellow you earth as they are connected to either end of the lighting coils.
