NOVA?

Hello all,

in the back of the garage is a series 2 that I bought in 2008. I have an invoice from the dealer that no import tax has been paid. I have recently been told that I will have to get a nova certificate before I can register it. Is this true or do I need to just pay the import tax?

Many thanks in advance.

Where was it imported from?

If inside the EU there should be no duty to pay (while we're still in it....)

The dealer imported from Italy. On the invoice he has written no import tax paid.

But I think there is a time limit on notifying them, 8 weeks? from import.
A fine will be issued if not notified within that time.
Others will know more.

You can either state you got it last week or ring up HMRC and explain.

I've done both.

Using the online form and being creative is the simplest.
