Hello,

I have a li 125 series 3 (1963) engine, and going to fit a 200cc kit.
Does anyone know what else I would have to up grade to handle new kit.

Thanks for any help

Afaik there is only the Mugello 198cc kit which will fit straight on to a small block casing. You will need to upgrade your crank to a GP one, better than standard exhaust ie: clubman or better, and a bigger carb will be required 22mm or bigger up to 30mm. That's the basic mimimum for a 198 Mugello upgrade.

As I said that was the basic minimum but what is your budget and just where do you stop. What do you want from your engone and what will you use it for, the we can answer some more.

With the cost of a decent kit upgrade you may as well replace all bearings and seals (decent named brand), a four plate clutch will be ok but i'd go for quality plates (LTH or similar) and upgraded springs (malossi or similar).

As said a new crank is a must and again it's pointless upgrading the cylinder without matching it to a decent exhaust and carb.

.................be a bugger if your electrics let you down so you may as well fit a new stator/regulator and cdi as well (BGM or similar)......in for a penny in for a pound stick a new AF mid-weight fly wheel on as well.

Budget is high, want a engine for touring, rallies and maybe commuting. Not to bothered about top end speed, but need plenty of power for long trips with a bit of luggage.

Ok, sounds good, may as well do it properly.
