done the wassell conversion but am having trouble blowing fuse to battery fuses on relays are not blowing am planning on fitting fuses into each line to try and find the fault
where is best to fit them on live into relays or live feed to lights, horn and 12 volt plug

You would be best to disconnect everything, for a new fuse in the battery feed and then re-connect each circuit in turn to see which one blows your fuse. Connect each relay first with the outputs disconnected and try each switch. If that doesn't find it, connect the power output from each relay one at a time, flicking the relevant switch as you go. A systematic approach is called for ;)

would normally do it that way but seems to be an intermittent fault as 1 minute every thing is fine then bang fuse gone
may just strip the lot out and start again

on the wiring i have connected the red from wassel to the loom brown then just run a spur from that to the battery is that ok or should it be direct to battery then another wire from battery to head set

I had an issue like this and it turned out to be the pilot light bulb shorting against the back of the bulb holder, b fine for a little while and then when it vibrated round to where it shorted - bang - fuse blew.

Hi Terryj,
Had something similar,kept blowing fuses intermittently turned out to be brake light switch.It is an awful design inside, the metal plunger shorts out a copper contact inside the switch grounding the 12volt.Try disconnecting both wires from switch

I had the same problem , it was the light dip switch causing the problem , just a tiny bit of uninsulated wire earthing out on the headset

That way is fine, and I have also had an earth fault caused by the pilot light live feed shorting out on the top of the fork tube (it was an ebay purchase with a bare screw terminal connection :roll: )

It might well come to stripping out and starting over but the fault might be something that got disturbed in the installation process.
