Long range tank recommendations

Postby burnside » Wed Jul 01, 2015 8:38 am

Can anyone recommend a long (or should I say mid) range tank to fit a Series 2 with 30mm carb on standard size but retains the toolbox? Ideally I like the look of the ones that are fairly standard in looks, i.e. still have the seam, but I understand these can be a pig to fit in S2s. So what are the best options out there, Diablo midi, Diablo long range with toolbox cutout, Oiltek mid range?

I use the bolt in type from Corrado at Just Lambretta

Pressure tested and easy to fit :D

Cheers Peach, do you have one of these in your Eibar?

No it has the Stainless Scoot products version with tanks straps in the S2 and while it is good quality ,was expensive and a pain to fit.

I have the Just Lambretta version in my GP and Special

Ok, says on Martin's website that fitting can be a bit more tricky in Series 1 & 2, you have to either remove or bend the cups that hold the tank rubbers in place
