Hi There,
Not a scooter related question as such, but wondered if anyone can recommend a torque wrench that can be used for both RH & LH Threads. My current one only works in the RH direction. Thanks in advance.

I use a beam type torque wrench, but it doesn't click when you reach the correct torque, you have to watch the guage, this works in both directions.

I have a Norbar torque wrench which allows the socket to be reversed. It is quite old but they may still make them.

I used a Sealey 3/8ins drive 0-18ftilbs that will do the lower torques and a britool 1/2ins drive with a knock through head for the rest. You need to be sure if you get a ratchet one that it doe actually torque l/h threads, not all do.

Britool 1/2 inch with knock through. Only drawback is it starts at 20 ft lbs so have to knock it back beyond the first calibrated lines to get my 16 -18 for cylinder head. Had it since the ark.

Halfords tools are excellent. I've used their torque wrench for 6 or 7 years now without any concerns.

As the Captain and Mark1 have stated Halfords torque wrenches are excellent and they have a lifetime guarantee.
