Got a new sil gp200 engine fitted to my scoot.anything I should know before starting it for the first time.dont want to do any damage.cheers

Make sure there's oil in the gearbox.
Check all nuts are tight.
Might be worth checking the timing with a strobe.

Was there not problems with the SIL 200 engine brake shoes set up. I hope someone else can elaborate on this.

There is an issue with brake shoes.when you put hub on and tighten hub nut the brakes are locked fully on.not sure what to do about it

get the jockeyboxentopp break shoe kit to rectify the problem and a good rear hub pref a Tino Sachi one

Jockey kit doesn't help,tried it.gonna try it with an old Indian hub I have to see if that works,perhaps it's the hub

Where are you ?
AF do a "shoe skim" to centralise your brake shoes.......works a treat and costs about £20
