Hi
I have changed my gear oil.
Using the level plug it's not even taking 500ml before it comes out
The bike is on a level surface

Hi jonoy
One assumes you are not confusing the rear drain plug with the front level plug On a GP the rear drain plug uses a 10mm Allen the front level uses a 21mm socket

I think "Stickey's" (manual) says 500ml is usually sufficient when doing an oil change as approx' 250mml may still be in the engine after draining.
The point being how much oil was left inside before adding the new oil ?

When draining the old oil did you tip the scooter over or just remove the drain plug whilst in an upright position? If upright then most of the old oil will still be in there

Good point
No Left Scooter upright but less went in than was drained out

Then the only conclusion is that there was too much in there in the first place.

Could be because it was overfilled that last time. When I drain my oil I always run it to loosen the oil then stick a brick under the left hand foot of the stand to drain out as much as possible, but even then you will probably only get around 500ml in there. Draining it whilst still standing you are leaving more of the old oil than you are draining.

Bringing this thread back to life
Went out for a ride today approx 40 miles
Clutch was faultless until end of ride then dragged
in first gear to the point of stalling
Let the bike cool down and ok again
