Jetting

Postby Nbowe » Sat Aug 22, 2015 9:05 pm

Got a standard gp200 with standard clubman exhaust and a 30mm delorto phbh carb.
Can anybody give me an idea for jet sizes as a starting point.

Cheers

That's a bit of a meaty carb for a standard barrel and clubman. I think you'll struggle to get that jetted right. What's in there now? And does it run?

Starting point, for you to test, check and adjust from:

50-55 pilot, 40 slide, AV266, X7 needle (clip on T2 [2dn from top])... moving to T1 if it is too rich on T2 , 125 main jet

You may want to fit a larger float needle seat if you run into fuel starvation symptoms. Standard is 200 but you may want to look to a 250 or 300 with their respective float needles.

When TwoFour Accessories were the official Lambretta importer they sold the 30mm PHBH as a bolt-on goody, as they can work very well on even a standard engine.
