since fitting dampers on front of scoot i find that the axle nuts are coming loose and need tightening on a regular basis (its the bolt on lower mounts)
any answers apart from using lots of thread lock

I have had them come loose on both my scoots but they have stayed tight since which would indicate that I hadn't tightened them fully the first time. The washer on the outside of the link fits into a recess and you can't see if they have seated properly with the lower mount bracket in the way. The last ones chose to come loose when I was negotiating the cobbled and streets of the Hague a few years ago, took me a while to realize it was the scooter not the roads

If they're after market stainless nuts,there not nylocs like the original nuts and they will come loose.I use these nuts and after I fit them I have to put blue loctite on the threads.If they are the originals they might not sit deep enough to reach the nyloc part with you fitting the bolt on damper bracket.
