Anyone had issues with MBD clutch springs? Been having issues with clutch drag for a while since I fitted them,and just replaced the chain as old one was slack on the adjusters limit and noticed the springs were all slightly bent at one end as if they have been kinked over? May be contributing towards the drag as everything else,plates etc looked fine.Even with clutch over adjusted it tries to creep in 1st now.Might have to get some standard GP springs as it had before.Its on my Li150 with a 198 mugello.

I have used MB springs for several years now. I have found them to be very good and often just fitting them has resolved any clutch slipping I may have had. You do have to replace them every year or so though as they do compress.

I am struggling to see how they could have all bent over though if the clutch was operating well. Did you buy these from MB?

Presumably they were centered when first fitted so check the pressure plate as some don't have a deep enough rebate for the springs to fit in correctly.

Yes, propper MB ones and i made sure they were seated properly. They were only just offset at the ends which i though was strange.May order a new set and try again.

Might be there's not enough clearance between the actual plates rather than the springs

Maybe try a complete clutch build without the springs and see how much free play you've actually got , could be any of a few of things causing the clutch to drag.
