A pals stripping an imported 1961 LI 125 series three. The frame tube is chrome ring but the headset is non chrome ring early round type. I was under the impression the chrome ring wasn't phased out until 1965 ish & the series 3 went to the hexagonal type headset earlier than that. My question is what model is a round type non chrome ring headset off ?

19.96.1030 is the part no. Dimitrios. I couldn't fathom out why an early series 3 headset was non chrome ring. I've got an early series 3 headset with the no. 19.96.1010 that is chrome ring . So basically the 1030 part no. Is from a series 4 ?

S4 Li125 use this.

19.96.1030 is also listed on the official parts book for late S3 Li125 and S3 Li150.

Part No.43 page 52
