When referring to a electronic ignition with a large cone, are they meaning the centre of the flywheel, i.e. a GP has a large cone.
Cheers

That's how the Germans describe cranks so I would say yes.

Hi all,
Looking for information. Am I correct in saying that the Indian GP150 flywheel has a large cone and small fins. Your help will be appreciated, as I want to get it right if I buy an electronic ignition kit for my GP.
Cheers
Stag

The only time I've seen electronic ignition systems to fit "large cone or small cone"is when there advertised by Indian companies on ebay. They are normaly described by reputable dealers as being to fit a"large taper or small taper"crankshaft.Buying something from India on ebay is very dodgy, you might get a bargain, then again you might get stung. If it were me I'd spend a bit extra and buy from a reputable dealer.

^ What he says. Also the flywheel fins can be short or long. Depends on the flywheel cover you have. Personally buy from Scooter Restorations. His prices ain't bad and they check all their flywheels and wiring. You're also dealing with someone who is based in England and will respond to any problems. There are other dealers out there
