One for the electrical boffins.

I want to loose the points on my series one, but would like to keep the 6volt lighting system.

Can I just swap the 12v lighting coils for 6v and wire them up the same on the stator?

Will the original 6v rectifier designed for a 4 pole stator cope with the output?

Sorry I'm confused, you want to fit a new 12V and then get rid of the main benefits, good lights. I assume you don't plan to ride at night
