I know I should wait until I get the proper stuff tomorrow but how much risk is there trying an engine with EP90 in it?

Bit late now but should be ok for a few days if you have no brass/bronze bushes it should not be a problem at all.

Apparently it erodes it but there are a lot of tractors using it that have bronze alloy bushes.

I don't think it's called EP because it creates pressure but because it will tolerate it.

You may find that your clutch wont work, oil is designed for extreme pressure

It won't "blow" anything.

It's got sulphur in it that will probably contaminate the clutch plates eventually.

It's oil and you won't do any harm just starting it up and going around the block as long as you definitely change it asap.

Could be wrong, but I think EP (Extreme Pressure ) oil is meant for helical cut gears to cope with the shear action as the gear teeth mesh. It could also include certain other ingredients in the mix as has been suggested which may be harmful to your clutch plate compound. It will also give you increased likelihood clutch slip, because it's more 'slippery'' than the straight ST oils which are fine to use with straight cut gears which of course a Lambretta has.
