I've got BGM front dampers, but can't get them to fit with the anti-drive set up, so have turned them up the other way.

Will this make a difference?

Dirt will collect on the oil seal face and eventually cause a leak...

Apart from the fact that they don't look right that way do they foul the bolts or would they foul the brackets without the bolts at all?

In that case try getting some allen head bolts that sit almost flush.

Technically, you've increased the unsprung weight.

I don't have any BGM's but I understand they have adjustable compression dampening.
If this is the case you could remove the anti dive and increase the compression dampening to help tune out any brake dive.

I've ordered up some Allen bolts to see if that makes a difference.
