Can't get my head around this one... standard OMG petrol tap been on the S2 working fine since full resto back in 2000. Went out Saturday and starts cutting out like fuel starvation so flip it onto reserve, no problems but thought strange as only filled up a few miles ago. Get back home and disconnect fuel pipe to test flow as tank is at least 3/4 full... it now works in 12 0'clock position and reserve fine but middle switches flow off? head scratcher!
I've ordered a new tap for the sake of a few quid but have you heard of this before?

When you say it's working at 12 o'clock do you mean it's now on or off as it should be? Have you got OFF, OFF, RESERVE?. If so it may be the NORMAL (ON) position tube is blocked. You could try disconecting the petrol pipe at the carb and gently blowing through it in the NORMAL (ON) position and see if that clears the blockage.

Hi Paul, it's flowing at 12 o'clock (should be off) & at 6 o'clock (reserve). 3 o'clock which should be on is now off. Have just stripped tap & looks like the little plastic circular part inside has worn & spun around, giving me strange flows. New tap should be here tomorrow so save faffing trying to work it out
