I recently brought a gasket kit for my 125 special.

Stupid question maybe, but does the gear selector pivot mount & cable guide on top of the crankcase require gaskets of any sort ?

Doesn't seem to be one included in the kit

There is a gaskets for it.

However MB say they are not essential.

you can buy one for less than a pound though.

Just had my engine rebuilt and it doesn't have one under the gear selector.

I make my own out of cereal packet card. But to be honest it's only to stop oil leaks so a little silicon is just as good.
