Dl150 speedo info needed.

Postby Kristof Lammy pie » Thu Feb 11, 2016 7:49 pm

Hi.

I'm just trying to get my speedo working on my dl150.

I've spent all day fishing out old soil, muck and 3 speedo cable knurled nuts from inside the forks so I can fit a new cable.

Cable is now in place but the original speedo has had it. Completly rusted out.

Just wondered if anyone has one or where do you buy your replacement ones? Do you kmh or mph? Indian cable or Italian. Any info would be great as I keep getting stung buying crap quality parts!

Ta

Remade speedos are a mixed bag. Some are better than others but none are as good as a properly refurbished original. The inner workings of the originals, compared to what is in the remade ones, are chalk and cheese.

Jem has refurbished a couple for me, including a GP150 one, and both work very well and are largely pretty accurate.
