Postby kennystag » Mon Feb 15, 2016 2:08 pm

Hi All,
I Have been getting deferent stories, when reading on the internet, as to what is the correct Atomiser to use on my GP150 cc with a 22 mm Jetex carb, some say it is 5899/2, and others say 5899/4, any thoughts.

Should be 5899.4 with the cutout in the slide for the 150.

the 2 is the richer atomiser and fitted to the 175s and 200 mainly, along with the slide that has no cut out.

Certainly when I ran a jetex on a 175, or a mugello I changed to them for a richer midrange.

I changed all the jets on my Gp150 sil to standard as per 'stickies' list in the back of his manual.
When I first got it I had trouble getting the mixture screw to make a difference to the idle speed. The pilot jet was 48 so I standardised it to a 45. I decided to fit all dellorto jets as they are stamped to the size. The carb is a jetex 22mm and the jets are 45 pilot, 50 choke,118main jet,7895-2 slide, 58994 atomiser.

Thanks for the comments. Does any one know which holes that are measured to determine the atomizer size.
