Has anyone had any trouble with these rear hubs. There seems to be a lot of people that say they dont have a very good reputation, but I cant find anyone who's FA Italia rear hub has actually failed in use.

i have had issues with FA stuff, but have had good service from a hub and rims but only after cleaning the threads with a die as the studs are always covered in the paint or powdercoat whichever they use and will usually cause threads to strip or cross on studs or nuts. i think this is the issue rather than outright failure.

Going back a few years, they changed to press in studs which I found were dangerously soft. I seem to recall they reacted to bad press about them and stopped using them. I, personally, still wouldn't trust them as there are, imo, better ones out there.

I take it your talking about rims when you say that you have had to clean the studs because the rear hubs come raw and unpainted.

I have a F.A Italia hub on my Jet 200. It's been on for the 10 years or so that I''ve owned the scooter. I've not had any problems with it, and I've been around Belgium and Holland on it.
