So if I'm having to rev up and slip the clutch when pulling away, instead of just being able to twist and let the clutch out, what should I be looking to do, jetting-wise??

Lean the mixture (smaller jets). What's it like without the filter and what difference does the choke make ?

Or check your gearing. Are you "too tall" for your set-up ?

Or what's your timing set at ? are you too far retarded ?

gearing maybe an issue... it's an SX200 box
timing at 19 degrees
haven't tried it without a filter... give that one a go, does seem to be running rich....

It does sound as if it's over jetted.
