Indicator switch

Am I correct in thinking that there is a version of the SIII trapezium shaped handlebar switch that incorporates an indicator switch? If so, was it a factory item (Indian?) or a special part manufactured for a dealer?

Are such switches still available?

If not, has anyone got one?

My Serveta had a indicator rocker switch on the handlebars… ugly black plastic box bolted on to the alloy.

This is the servetta item referred to but will be no good to Martin

Martin is right that the indians did a trapezoid switch converted to the indicator switching so you need a key switch for your lights too assuming you don't already have one.

Scooter restos do them though Martin at http://www.scooterrestorations.com/lamb ... al-shaped/

worth dropping them an email to confirm though.

I've had a couple of those of Scooter restorations, not sure what model SIL, Vijay etc it was used on but seems standard and works well without having to attach a seperate indicator switch. Bit of a squeeze getting all the wires through the headset and they are not very supple - I dropped and broke my wife's hair dryer warming the outer plastic sleeve - she was thrilled it helped get the harness through!

So Mickey, was it a special switch, designed for indicators, or a standard one?

Don't quote me but I think it's a standard factory switch off some (unknown to me) Indian model. It looks just like an Li switch but some newer touches such as a picture of a horn on the button & the obvious relevant bit is side light / headlight switch does the indicators.
