Hi guys
What's the recommended ring gap in the bore? It's a Jet 200 barrel
Thanks

0.2-0.25mm when bore is new. 0.6mm wear limit.
Others may say different but the above works OK for me.

Thank you Adam very kind. At the moment the gap is huge so assuming I need a new set.
Thanks again.

Sounds like it, although you might need to be a bit more specific about the size.
If you don't want the outlay of a rebore and new piston but the bore looks ok (no obvious scores, ridges or damage) then you might be able to source a set of rings for the next size up and then gap them down to suit the bore so that they are not too tight. If you decide to go down this route then make sure that you buy the right type of rings with the right thickness as yours and the right end/peg profile to suit.
The above should only really be done if the bore to piston clearance is reasonable too, otherwise your piston will rattle/slap as it goes up and down the bore.
If in any doubt... send the barrel off for a rebore and piston to suit.
