I have a spare rear hub its looks good but I decided to use tubeless and needed the extended bolts
Took wheel bolts out a bit of a job then found the threads were 8mm not 10mm has anyone seen this know anything about it the hub is useless as it is i think
Adviceneeded

Would it be possible to tap the threads out to 10mm?

I suspect yes

drill out and reap the hub simple to do LH thread though and i will need a good drill

May look at the metal on the lugs and see if there is enough in them compare them with other 2 I have

I did what your name said TOBOLDLYGO

Measured and compared the other 2 drums all LUG measurements the same

Drilled out to 9mm tap size for 10mmx1mm

Tapped 10mmx1mm Lefthand thread fitted new extended bolts for the tubeless alloys

First rate advice done in less than 30 minutes

Cheers Terry

The only rear hubs I've come across with different studs are Ramp hubs. Off top of my head I can't remember if the studs were bigger or smaller. Easy to spot by looking inside to find RAMP embossed [or ground off  ]. Ramp are best avoided.

Good point and well worth re-emphasising
