GP Horn casting & Trim

Ive had to remove the horn casting on my GP.
Is there any tips for getting the bugger back on with trim correctly in place ?
Some holes line up but others will require some pushing n pulling to get bolts in place.
Other issue is getting trim lined up.
Any advice in best approach to get this all back on?
Regards Simon

I tend to lightly tape mine on the inside, which holds them in place for fitting and doesn't show once fitted, nor damage anything.

I was wondering if something like that might help.
Must be a knack to getting certain holes bolted down lightly first.
My last GP was a struggle and thought this one being Italian might fit better but NO !
Thanks Adam

Just a couple of short lengths of tape (electrical is normally what I have to hand), one towards the top and the other towards the bottom, holds them in place long enough to offer it up and align it, then do up the screws.

I just normally use a little light grease to hold them in place & wipe the horncast clean after its fitted, work's for me, hope this helps ;)

If you use a low tack masking tape you can loop it round and hold them in place inside and out till you get light pressure on the screws and gentle tug will usually release the inside and you can remove the tape.
