Poor hot starting

My S2 has developed a hot starting problem. If I stop the engine and leave it for any longer than just a minute it will not start again. The last time it refused to start I removed the bellows to see if the fuel was getting through to the carb, when the kickstart is pushed down fuel is getting to the carb,so I removed the spark plug(which has a good spark) and it looks bone dry.I have held my finger over the spark plug hole and kicked the scooter over a few times and my finger remains dry. From cold I put the choke on (the choke is seating ok when off),turn on the petrol and it always starts second kick. The engine is a Casa 185 with a clubman exhaust and a jetex carb. The jets are 45 pilot,125 main and it runs through a drilled airbox with a standard filter. The plug is a champian N3C and is a nice brown colour.Apart from this problem the scooter runs great.Any help with this would be gratefully received.

.......fuel might be collecting in the bottom of the bellows. When having the problem try short runs without the bellows on and see if it starts ok. Careful as you will be running a tad lean.

It wont start with the bellows on or off. There also seems very little spit back in the bellows.

Most likely an ignition problem. Electronic pick up failing when hot, dry solder joint on the stator or for those of you still using points a condenser breaking down.

Had many an issue with Jettex on hot starts, make sure you turn petrol off when you stop and try opening throttle fully before attempting to restart always worked on mine, started from cold no issues and rings were fine I dumped it in favour of a Dellorto and never looked back.

I've run a jetex on both of my scooters for about 9 years and never had this trouble before.
