rear hub cone

Hi all,
I'm after some help, I was changing my clutch springs the other day, I noticed while I was lying on my back that the rear hub had some movement, had a play with it, felt like on a car when the bearing is out..

So, hub off etc... lay shaft is fine, bearing seems perfect, so the only other assumption I can make, is the hub cone..
I brought the engine as a going concern, the hub and cone were in a box.
So my question is..., having looked through sticky's book, how do I measure the cone against the hub to make sure it's the right one for the hub.

How can something so simple be such a bas#*×@ :?:

Thanks in advance for your help

Trevor

   I won't ask why you were lying on the floor

I have exactly the same problem with my S3 so I'll be following this closely.
My hub has quite a wobble but no lateral movement, so like you I'm guessing its the cone thats worn. ;)
