Can anyone tell me if these leggies are chrome ring or later ones please? Seller doesn't seem to know.

If they are LI125 they are going to be chrome ring.

That's what I thought at first but what if they're Spanish or series 4?

They look like original paint and if it was a S4 it would surely be pale blue? If they were Spanish they would still be chrome ring, except when they're not. But that was later. And, as they've got runner strips it's got to be earlier. If that makes sense.

Thanks, I see what you mean.

Also, does the small lambretta font also confirm that they're early ones?

Good question. I don't think the script on the Italian LI3's changed. I don't know about the Spanish. I suspect they may have used the Italian script as well, but I can't say.

I know that sx and 125 special models had larger font, but I've no idea about Spanish.

I'll have a look in the lambretta Bible and see if that says anything about it

i'm pretty sure that Stickys book has all the identification information you need on . page 179 ;)
I would say that those legshields are Spanish judging by the folded down lip at the top beneath the headset although the nuts being on the outside of the bracket would suggest an early S3 chrome ring type.

Aye, you'd think so but I've sent them two messages without reply.

Tbh, I'm not sure what they are, they're a bit ropey and they'd be for a build I won't be starting until about December 2017, so I think I'll just let them go.

Thanks for your help anyway gents.
