bought the tsr evo to try with the rt195 kit.firstly,they are very well made,good price,good fit,and good service from tsr.
when it gets in the power it has a nice kick to it but on the downside its a bit hard work at lower revs in stop start traffic.i have read somewhere about these exhausts being slightly tweeked and fitted with a new end can.think it was taylor tuning.anyone had this done and what do you think,in terms of all round rideability and comparative noise levels.

It is Darrell Taylor that can modify them.
I've had two TSRs, same problem with both, they cracked and broke near end of pipe near the endcan. First time TSR replaced no problem. Second time with replacement exhaust but without extra supporting bracket (not supplied) lost endcan and about 6 inches of pipe whilst riding along (must have given car riders behind a fright). I have been in contact with Darrell and hopefully going to get one of his modified exhausts and I'm hoping with the different endcan this will resolve the cracking issue.

mine came with the support bracket kit,as yet not fitted.done about 500 m.i think they may have strengthened latest versions,there is a piece welded on the narrow pipe which I thought looked quite sturdy ,although I intended to fit the bracket when run in.let us know how you get on if you get the other one.cheers

Be very careful with these as they are quite low!

mine was a bitch to fit on a S2 but once finally on was great other than grounding on speed bumps all the time.

unfortunately the last speed bump in france resulted in this!

OK, just noted this, having posted on the other thread. This answers the question that I'd asked about hitting speed humps.

Jeppers Donnie, that's not good. Really sad to see that damage.

I have an EVO and clearance is an issue, but I just try and remember to stand up a little on speed bumps and so far so good. No doubt I'll get caught out soon though.

Wether you stand up or sit down,the weight still remains the same on the scooter.

I know, but it works. Speed bumps, pot holes, if I've been too slow to swerve them, lifting my fat arse seems to lessen the impact. Don't know why but it seems to work for me.

It works because as the scooter rises over the bump you are using your knees to cantilever as the bike rises lessening the weight on the rear end.

Just to add to my earlier post. The cracked and broken evo exhaust were down to incorrect fitment and wrong set up of rear shocker. This was shown to me by someone with more knowledge and better eyesight. My rear hanger had been hitting the pipe and also the rear shocker was an adjustable type that had been incorrectly 'tightened' up.

Got one of darrells tsr pipes on my ts and have to say the all round performance is excellent. Also have the altered ginanelli (spelling) endcan which dt alters to fit the pipe and its a fair bit lighter and slimmer than the dustbin size standard endcan

bazza how do you find the noise level on your exhaust?

I have one of darrell ginelli end cans on and whilst not the quietest pipe around i dont find it too noisey to put up with. I would say it was quieter with the original tsr can on but then again them things are the size of a dustbin so no doubt have more packing in them.
