Engine case ID

Hi, fresh back from Wicksteed where I picked up a 200 casing for a decent price. It is stamped SX200 but the numbers look a bit uneven. The part number inside is 19610054 which is not the SX number I don't think, anyone have any ideas, GP maybe or Indian?

Thanks again Demitrios.

I'll have a closer look at it but the number does look as if it has been hand stamped but it has some damage which has been welded up and might have led to it being scrapped at some time in the past and then repaired and re-used?

It is an early TV200 crankcase without the bottom hole for the exhaust bolt.

Thanks again, mine has definitely been changed at some point, the star and Innocenti motifs have gone although the area doesn't look as if it's been ground and has the same patina as the rest of the case. There is a large area of weld on the underside of the gearbox which I think would have been good enough reason for it to have been scraped back in the day as beyond economic repair.

Our group saw that. Good price I thought but the numbers were definitely re stamped. Didn't look at the inside of the casing but saw welding on outside and assumed gearbox had gone through. I'm presuming it was the casing on Fatbloke's stall. His prices are always fair. Dimitrios is correct in saying it is a TV200 casing although don't know what other casings the number may have been used in.

I don't know who Fatbloke is but this was a very large stall manned by 2 guys one of which was quite large who I recognised and the other was normal build and it was him that was selling it as well as some other bits including an RB kit. The price came down a bit from adverised with a bit of haggling ;)
