I bought an Italian S3 Li125 at Wickstead and I've got a couple of queries:-

It's been painted solid Navy Blue a long time ago, someone has suggested it would have been a rental, ie each company in a town had their own colour. Anyone know more about this?

It's got a factory fitted ignition which is not something I've seen on early Li's (this one dates to 1962)

"its got a factory fitted ignition"Do you mean ignition switch ? If you do mean ignition switch,how do you know its factory fitted and not an after market switch.

I did once come across an Li with an ignition switch where the kill button would normally be located. I assumed it was an after market part.

It does seem like a sensible upgrade for a new scooter, if you are the owner of a shiner new Lambretta in 1962.

The switch like the paint job have got some age hence why I put it down to being factory. Does anyone have any idea about whether it was a (the paint job, solid navy blue) rental which would make the ignition switch as being issued at new more probable.
