No spark

Broken down twice in a week now, first time stripped carb no fault found, checked spark, it was non existent.
After leaving for a day or so whilst waiting for parts, checked spark and it was back again and scooter started.
Changed plug, ht lead and cap and CDI anyway as had all new.
No problems for a week and now it's broken down again, no spark.
Disconnected green wire from ignition switch to CDI, still no spark.
Ignition is an mb developments stator.
Any clues, is it a stator fault?

Can they exhibit this intermittent type of failure, would think once they've failed that's it?

They certainly can - dry joints, intermittant shorts, temperature change, vibration.................. :(

That is exactly the symptoms for a faulty LT coil.
