Do not expect anyone to be able to supply you a match from the code or from any Lambretta dealer trying to match 8073 as it is not the correct colour and it cannot be recreated with today's pigments by using any of the old formulae. You will only get a correct colour match by taking your existing colour bodywork to a paint shop that has the ability to match your existing colour.
Adam
PS - That assumes that you are trying to match original colour bodywork. If you are trying to match bodywork that has already been sprayed 8073 (not the original colour) then you will still struggle to get a match by ordering over the phone as different sources will supply slightly different versions (close but not an exact match). You are still better off finding a paint/bodyshop that will match your existing and put it into a spray can for you.

Thanks chaps, checked AMD's website, they're selling cans at £14.51, so that's an option, bit expensive mind. Haven't any original red bodywork to get a match, will have to look out for some at the parts fair at warmwell.
Or...stop being a tight arse and get it sprayed properly

Red is the worst colour for UV fade, the very best way to get a perfect match is to take a panel to a paint factors who have a photospectrometer, paint can be mixed to match exactly. If they dont have the facilities to put it in an aerosol take the quarter or half litre of paint to a motor factors who do Holts paint and have them do it for you. Holts mixed aerosols have a very good adjustable fan spray head which used properly gives a very good finish.
Ref 8073, as Adam says, its not a match to the original paint..
