Whatever you decide, Good Luck!

Opinion varies.

A lot of Lambretta owners go the route of electronic conversions reasoning the ‘reliability’

Trawl through this Forum & you’ll find that not to be true, as failure of the pick up or CDI is very common.

Another thing to bear in mind is Rimini Lambretta. By that, I don’t see many, if any, of their excellent restorations incorporating electronic conversions.

So, my own opinion (for what it’s worth!) is to place a ‘Wanted’ ad & buy a used 12 volt stator set up from one of the many Forum users on here that have made the ‘transition’ to an electronic set-up.... ;)

Hi,
12volt stator do the simple wassell mod on the stator and 12volt battery. You will have to change the horn to 12volt d.c.This will give you lights that wont flicker when you brake or use the horn and as I have mentioned on here before the option of keeping the lights on if you are unfortunate in having to push your machine home in the dark.
http://www.scooterotica.org/forum/viewt ... 32&t=14360 I don't think 12v coils are available separately anymore.( I put 12volt coils on a points stator for my GP)
Good luck
